Friends of Saint Francis of
Assisi, is a non profit rescue organization, dedicated to to the
care of all of God's animal friends. We rescue, adopt
most domestic animals and they remain with us until they are called
to the Rainbow Bridge.
St Francis of Assisi,
the Little Brother, and the Wolf of Guibbo legend has it that
St Francis was called to the Town of Guibbo because a wolf was
eating the livestock and townsfolk. St Francis went into the
woods and called out Brother Wolf, and the Wolf appeared. St
Francis spoke kindly to the Wolf, and secured a promise from the
Wolf that the Wolf would no longer harm any man or animal, as long
as the towns people fed the Wolf. This the Wolf swore an oath
to St Francis before God the Father and raised his right paw in
acknowledgment. When the townspeople saw this they too agreed
and from that day forward the wolf was fed well and lived a long
life with the townspeople.
