Beethoven Von
Gress. Beethoven died March 16, 2002 and he
was healthy young adult Saint Bernard. The negligence was due
to two vets in Danville PA. He went in for a simple eye cyst
removal. The vet(s) never read his file nor when they had an
issue trying to intubate him, did they stop the procedure, the
vet(s) had problems keeping his temperature under control
(hy[erthermia), due to the anesthesia, did not have adequate cooling
facilities for his size and did not have anyone check on him during
the night even though we were told someone would be with him,
otherwise he would have been home with us. We were never advised of
the issues they had with him and we asked to let him come home with
us that evening but the vets said no, he would be OK, since someone
would be with him. No one checked on him from early evening until
they found him dead the next morning. He was a sweet,
gentle giant who loved all of the dogs and cats. He is
sorely missed.
Gepetto and his Great
Grandmother Alexis.
Alexis turns 17 Thanksgiving 2002.
She is the great, great, great, great grandmother to Geppetto, who
is standing behind Alexis. She is blind and has suffered a
slight stroke, but still gets around. Gepetto was born with an
open fontal in his skull. The vets never thought Gepetto would
live past a few weeks and he lived a short life of three
years. He suffered from seizures and in June 2001, the
seizures were too many and he died from a stroke. He was a
sweet little guy and his buddy was Beethoven. The two were
inseparable. Gepetto was out of Pepino and Freddy.
He passed away on 6/16/01. On 6/17/01 his two mates (Ruth
& TT) delivered Louise and Phillip, who are mirror images
of him are his offspring.
Nicholas, the great,
great, great, great, grandfather to Chihuahua. On his back is his
mate Alexis. Nicholas left us this 5/22/02 due to heart
complications. He was a mellow fellow who tolerated a lot of
pups and the big dogs rolling him around. Nicky was 16 years old
when he passed away.
Prancer the smallest
Pomerainian. When he was born the open fontal in his skull was 3/4
of his total skull and the vets were amazed he lived at all.
When he passed away his fontal was still half open. He passed onto
the bridge this past Jan 25, 2002. He suffered several
strokes in his life. Medications and his strong will to live
kept him moving. He and Gepetto could always be found together
curled up in their bed. Geppetto though at times could be a
pain, pulling poor little Prancers curly tail.
Little JOJO born July 1,
2002, out of Diana. The smallest of the litter.
Beethoven Von Gress the
little star of Pfizer ads and commercial for Clavamox in 1995.
He passed away even after been inoculated for Parvovirus. He
died in his fourth month of life March 1995. His sister Missey
survived. Never trust anyone coming into your home as a family
came to adopt a pet from us and here they had a dog that died
of Parvo a few days before. The Parvo on their clothes
infected our home and killed six of our fur babies. Parvo
can last for months in your clothes, carpets etc. A 10%
solution of bleach to water solution helps to kill the parvo.
Proves even proper vaccinations are not the only defense against
such a killer disease.

WHERE TO BURY A DOG
But there is one place that is best of all...If you bury
him in
this spot, the secret of which you must already have, he
will come
to you when you call - come to you over the grim, dim
frontiers of
death, and down the well - remembered path, and to your
side
again.
And though you may call a dozen living dogs to heel, they
shall
not growl at him, nor resent his coming, for he is yours
and he
belongs there.
People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of
grass bent
by his footfall, who hear no whimper pitched too fine
for
audition, people who never really have had a
dog.
Smile at them, for you shall know something that is
hidden from
them, and which is well worth knowing.
The one best place to bury a dog is in the heart of his
master,
his best friend.

5/4/93, no
one is a master of a dog, it really is the other way
around,
T.C.Ambrosia, and you know something, that is the way
it
should be, after all spell DOG
backwards(TCA)).

The Rainbow Bridge Poem
Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow
Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to
someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our
friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to
health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong
again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small
thing; they each miss someone
very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when
one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the
green
grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special
friend finally meet, you cling
together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look
once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long
gone from your life but never
absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones
in the loss of your special animal friend.
We know how hard it is to say Goodbye, and especially how
hard when we have to help them
onto their way to the Bridge and to Him.
Take comfort that your friend is with Our Lord.
God gives us pets to help us through this hard life and
to enrich our souls.
Whatever we do, do right by all of them, take care of
them well, help those in shelters,
the homeless the ones no one wants because they are too
big, too small, to young, too old, too ill.
God in His wisdom lends us His animal friends to us for a
little while and then he calls them home.
We suffer at their loss and say
Why did they have to leave us so soon?
Trust in Him, for when we are given the sleep of peace,
we will all again be reunited
with each and everyone of our animal friends at the
Bridge.
Then we will cross over to Paradise and never will we be
separated again.
If ever you would like to chat, write, fax or email
please feel free to do so.
We must help one another through the times of crisis.
It is at these hours our faith in Him is truly
tested.
May Our Lord Bless you and all of your efforts, may He
keep you well and may He always shine His goodness upon you and
yours.
May you find in your hours the courage to help and save
another one of God's animal friends to care for and to shower love
and affection on.
